In Ethiopia, for example, Amharic-speaking parents call their children yeinay filiklik (“my bubble of joy”) and in Australia, they are called lambchop . Three or four terms of endearment are given for fourteen different nations and languages. For the languages other than English, the terms are given in their native language, accompanied by a pronunciation guide, and written in their native script, if it differs from the Western alphabet.
